Founded in 2024 by Mr. Andreas Themistokleous, an independent member of parliament for the Limassol district, following the encouragement of several friends, associates, as well as independent citizens, with the thought that in Cyprus, the existing parties / movements / factions neither satisfy nor encompass a complete political program addressing national and everyday issues. Our positions are summarized in the publicly posted Founding Declaration on our website dekcyprus.com. Its registration was approved by the Registrar of Political Parties on May 23, 2025.
Our invitation and call is addressed to all the people of our land who possess a national and religious identity, an Orthodox tradition, and a Greek consciousness.
D.E.K. is a movement of principles — ideological, democratic, freedom-loving, popular, and national — with trustworthy individuals who have always been on the right side of history, as well as young people who wish to contribute to their homeland.
For D.E.K., its very existence and supreme mission is the national survival of Cypriot Hellenism in the land of its forefathers — within the conditions of an internationally recognized rule-of-law state, safety, and freedom — and the removal of Turkish occupation and threat. A place where citizens will participate, think, and decide freely, far from blackmail, coercion, and concessions on their human rights.
We will fight for political cleansing, an end to impunity, and for social justice.
